My first birdie

I golfed yesterday on the 3 hole course, driving range in Alviso. I feel better golfing now. I can almost hit normal looking shots almost every time. Almost.

Yesterday was my best yet. I shot on the 139 yard par 3 within 5 feet of the cup, and then sank the putt. My first birdie. I used a 3 hybrid to do it. I've learned to not hit the ball on the outer part of the club or it drifts left. I told myself to hit it on the inside, and it bounced a couple of times and was really near a hole-in-one. Amazing.

Only a few squirrels and some blackbirds were witnesses to this historic golf shot. I even checked the ball twice to make sure it was mine.

Just to bring me back to earth, the next time I went to the hole (I went around twice), I made it in 5. I hit too far left and had to chip over a bunker, etc etc. The usual.

The first 3 holes were 5-2-5 for 12 (its a par 10, but most say the first hole 243 should be a par 4 which would make it 11). My best had been 16. I then did a 17 on the next 3. Also on my first go around, I chipped over a bunker and nearly holed it on 3.

So, its fun when it goes well. It just doesn't go too well most of the time.
