83 minutes 23 seconds/Is it really Easter?

That was the length of my cardio workout today. I'm building up to at least 90 minutes. I have the hardest time losing the weight, but this seems to help. So easy to gain weight so hard to put it off.

Tomorrow is Easter, but it doesn't feel like Easter usually does. It seems rather dark. Maybe that's a sign of the times. I know we think we are a religious nation, but are we? We say are values are Christian, but yet we support the death penalty, materialism, nationalism, nuclear weaponry, and don't support the environment in which we live. Seems we talk the talk but aren't really walking the walk.

I'm glad we mourn American lives in Iraq, but what about the citizens of Iraq who were raised under Saddam only to have it replaced by this vicious conflict. Where is our mourning for them? Either you support life or you don't. I don't buy only grieving for American lives. I understand not grieving for bombers or so-called terrorists, but what about the everyday citizens in Iraq. What a terrible burden they've been left.
